Marking Time

another friday morning. Just dropped Kenny off at school and head over to starbucks to use the WIFI and just kinda be out of the house for awhile. So once again I have 5 days with nothing to do. OK, well I actually have a few plans, ideas and offers for the weekend. Which is probably why I don't feel quite the wanderlust i felt two weeks ago, when I dropped him off at school on friday, but still... it's there. Not sure if it's a desire to just escape, or to just get to a quiet place again... It's been an interesting week. Had a little drama with Kenny at school and his conflict resolution skills. Kirsten started her internship at cartoon network and Halie is still talking about coming up and staying for an extended perios of time. which reminds me, I've been revisiting some of my old work and came accross one I particularly like today.

Time is precious time is fleeting
Time is burning wings are beating
tho the clock is always running, i tell myself i'm fine
What have I got to worry? I have lots of time

People rush and race and burn away precious time
On life and stress and fear of losing out on every dime
Time keeps marching onward to its ever-beating drum
Killing time or wasting time. Time just makes me numb

60 seconds in a minute 24 and 7 - hey
Need another hour so I get it done today
Give me some time to catch my breath
I want some time to play

Months and days and years and such
Fly before my eyes
Time is ever present
and it makes for short goodbyes

Time Time Time Time
A time to sew or reap
Break time - lunch time - quitting time
Time to get some sleep

Mark it, time it, synchronize, too much on my hands
time of my life, running out, an hourglass of sand
Minutes flee before me as I can watch it in my mind
getting a little worried, Where'd I put the time

time's money, how much do I have? can we ever know?
You’re late again, curtain call, its time to start the show
Just need a few seconds, I‘ve an offer for you my friend
Times up! Now the the time has come to take us to Time's end

No it can’t be that isn’t right
I please give me some more time
I promise I will spend it
On the choice that’s more sublime
Father time and God above, and ever Seeing Eye
Just give one more second. To tell my loves goodbye

So it's friday... again. And I'm sitting at starbucks "job hunting", writing blogs and wondering what I am gonna do this weekend.. really want to go rock climbing... ANYONE have any ideas ??

  1. Know a great place just can't go this weekend. I'll keep you in mind though. You can check it out. City of rocks. People come from all over to climb these rocks. There is always yosemite though.
